How refunds work
Receiptr subscriptions are purchased and billed through the Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android). Because all payments are processed entirely by Apple or Google, all refund requests must be submitted directly to the relevant store โ we are not able to issue refunds ourselves.
We cannot process refunds directly. All payments go through Apple or Google. Please follow the platform-specific steps below.
Apple App Store (iOS)
Request a refund through Apple's official refund portal. Apple reviews all requests individually and typically responds within 48 hours.
Request Refund via Apple โGoogle Play Store (Android)
Request a refund through Google Play's help centre. Google allows self-service refunds within 48 hours of purchase for most subscriptions.
Request Refund via Google โFree Trial
Receiptr offers a 14-day free trial on paid plans. No payment is taken during the trial period. If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged.
If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to a paid plan and your payment method will be charged. In this case, you may request a refund through your app store within their standard refund window.
To cancel your trial: open the App Store or Google Play โ Subscriptions โ Receiptr โ Cancel.
Subscription Cancellation
You may cancel your Receiptr subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period โ you will retain full access until then and will not receive a partial refund for unused time.
- iOS: Settings โ Apple ID โ Subscriptions โ Receiptr โ Cancel
- Android: Google Play โ Profile โ Payments & subscriptions โ Subscriptions โ Receiptr โ Cancel
Eligibility for Refunds
Refund eligibility is determined entirely by Apple and Google's policies. Generally, refunds may be granted when:
- You were charged after forgetting to cancel a free trial
- You were accidentally charged for a subscription you did not intend to purchase
- The App experienced a significant technical issue that prevented use
- You were charged after already cancelling
Refunds are generally not granted for:
- Change of mind after using the subscription for most of the billing period
- Forgetting to cancel a subscription that was actively used
- Requests submitted outside the store's standard refund window
